Darren Benoit

Darren Benoit

Darren Benoit graduated with a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, and began his career with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in accounting and corporate finance roles throughout the United States. He also worked at Pillsbury (General Mills) and Dental Services Group in various corporate finance capacities, including Director of Finance.

After earning his M.B.A. in Marketing and Strategy from the Carlson School of Management, Benoit joined a fledgling project staffing and consulting firm in Minneapolis. As the firm’s first non-founder employee, Darren wore many different hats throughout the company’s rapid growth from zero to $47 million in annual revenue in just six years. From there he has been involved as a founder in six incremental, and very successful, consulting industry start-ups.

Darren joined SNI in early 2014 to run its senior level finance contract practice, aka SNI Certes®. His focus is on growth both in terms of geographic locations and consultants on billing. His recipe is simple: recruit and retain the best people, and do whatever it takes to improve the lives of consultants and clients alike.

Darren’s hobbies include real estate investment, capital market study, running, boating, and playing taxi for his three kids. He has a side “gig” as lead singer of a Minneapolis based alt-rock band.


Gregg Summers, MBA

Managing Director – SNI Certes Minneapolis

Gregg Summers, MBA

Gregg Summers graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of North Dakota and started his career with Burlington Northern Railroad where he was based in Texas, but traveled the country in finance, accounting, and marketing roles within the company.  After returning to Minnesota to earn his MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Carlson School of Management, Gregg held a variety of corporate Finance roles, including Senior Director of Finance, with regional leaders and Fortune 500 companies.

Gregg spent ten years in project staffing and consulting where he enjoyed learning multiple industries and partnering with corporate leaders on project solutions.  He is a firm believer that personality fit is as important as technical for consulting assignments.  Gregg joined SNI Certes because of its uniquely positive culture in the staffing industry and emphasis on placing top talent in the perfect role.

Gregg’s hobbies include business news (really!) with an emphasis on business strategy.  Gregg and his wife have three children. He enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, and anything involving spending time with his family.

Patti Martin

Director of Client Services - SNI Certes Minneapolis

Patti Martin

Patti Martin graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Accounting and began her career in Big 4 with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young).   Leveraging her industry experience she moved into Manager/AVP of Financial Planning and Analysis and Accounting at Norwest Investment Services (now Wells Fargo).  With extensive roles in ERP software and system implementations in a corporate environment, Patti transitioned to Senior Financials Principal Instructor at PeopleSoft Inc. /Oracle Corporation and Senior Financials Learning Consultant at Lawson Software.

Patti Martin came to SNI Certes because of its award-winning reputation in the Twin Cities.  With extensive experience in accounting, finance, systems, and client services, Patti’s role as Director of Client Services gives her the ability to establish and cultivate business partnerships to achieve results.  Offering the depth of experience and breadth of network, Patti is able to partner top talent with great companies.  The common thread in her professional experience is that Patti thrives on working with people and making things happen!

Growing up on Lake Superior, Patti appreciates the four seasons and the outdoors.  Minneapolis has been her home for many years where she enjoys the theater, concerts, restaurants, and art fairs.  With an incredible family and strong friendships, Patti spends her free time traveling and spending time with friends and family.  Her greatest joy comes from other people.

Jonathan Haugen

Director of Client Services - SNI Certes Minneapolis

Jonathan Haugen

Jonathan Haugen is a Minnesota native and received a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  Upon graduation, Jonathan began his career at a small independent bank in Minneapolis working in operations, and later in deposit and loan services.  He moved into the retail industry at Target Corporation and worked in a variety of finance, accounting, and operations roles.  

After 15 years in finance, Jonathan realized working with people was preferable to number crunching, and moved into the staffing industry in 2004. After acquiring 7 years of experience in recruiting and business development, Jonathan was drawn to SNI Certes in 2012 for their long-standing reputation of exceptional service and ethics. 

Jonathan is married with two school-age sons.  Between shuttling the boys to soccer, music lessons, various camps and weekend getaways, he also enjoys cooking, golfing, and reading.  He has a strong affinity for NCAA March Madness and is a 20-year fantasy football veteran.

Susan Haugen

Director of Client Services - SNI Certes Minneapolis

Susan Haugen

Susan Haugen graduated from Macalester College with a degree in Economics and experience on the Crew team. After graduation she passed the CPA exam and began working for Grant Thornton. She ultimately moved to Pillsbury where she held various roles, including Plant Controller in a dough plant. Following family and career, Susan worked at VetConnect, a veterinary software company in her home town of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and then Zimmer, a medical device company in Minneapolis.

After earning her MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Susan saw the light and became a financial consultant. She loves meeting new people and new challenges and worked as an accounting and financial consultant for eight years. During a contract at Valspar, Susan fell in love with the culture and became a permanent employee. Susan realized that her curiosity about people and her love of making connections made her a natural fit with SNI Certes, an award winning firm recognized for its ethics and integrity.

Susan gets energy from live music around the Twin Cities and from being the Chair of the Board of The Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center, a place for neighbors, artists, and friends to participate in art forms produced by heat, spark, or flame (think welding and blacksmithing). In her down time she enjoys reading and gardening and doing her best to raise two cool kids.

Jenny Cyr

Contractor Advocate and Senior Staffing Coordinator

Jenny Cyr

Jenny Cyr graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Soon after, Jenny relocated to the Minneapolis area and began her professional career with a local Fortune 500 company. Jenny made the move into the staffing industry 1999, with a national agency, gaining experience as a recruiter, branch manager, and on-site manager.  She credits those years with giving her the foundation necessary to help clients and professionals meet the challenging needs of work-place flexibility. 

In 2008 Jenny joined the team at Certes in a search for work-life balance.  Since starting her career at SNI Certes, Jenny has been involved heavily in recruiting senior-level finance and accounting professionals, acting as a Contractor Advocate, and as a valuable resource to our Sales team.  

Jenny spends her downtime with her college age son, family and friends, and running.  She has a love for travel and hopes to do more of that in the future.

Nikki Erickson

Director of Client Services – SNI Certes Minneapolis

Nikki Erickson

Nikki Erickson joined SNI Certes to work with the teams in both Minneapolis and SNI Certes Dallas.

Nikki graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and started her career in accounting and financial reporting in the financial services industry.  After 5 years in accounting she was recruited into the Accounting Practice of a national staffing firm as a Staffing Supervisor and has never looked back!

With 12 years in the accounting and financial staffing industry, Nikki relishes finding the right candidate for her clients. She enjoys meeting new consultants and assisting them in finding their perfect project. Her many long term candidate relationships speak to her ability to match candidates to projects they find stimulating and rewarding at top-tier clients.

Outside of the office, Nikki enjoys reading and the occasional yoga or boxing class. Otherwise, Nikki and her husband are kept busy with their three children and driving them to soccer, Tae Kwon Do, and swim practice!
